Preparation

We have 6 more days until we head out for our most adventurous trip, 7,600 miles, 25 states, 17 National Parks - all in 28 days. Check out the links on the right and please let us know of any sites you feel we should see along the way.

Here's our schedule:

Leave home 6/19 at noon to arrive in Cleveland at 8pm

6/19, 6/20 (465 miles): CLEVELAND: We check in Friday night and plan to visit the town all day Saturday - of course stopping at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for Roger and the Woman's International Air & Space Museum.

6/21, 6/22 (343 miles): CHICAGO: Sunday we leave Cleveland and go to Chicago - where we want to see the Sears Tower, American Girl Place of course, take a boat cruise and go to Fields Museum, Millennium Park and Michigan Ave.

6/23 (415 miles): It's off to MINNEAPOLIS where we'll see the mall of America

6/24, 6/25 (562 miles): We're at MOUNT RUSHMORE and will see Badland's National Park too

6/26, 6/27 (533 miles): YELLOWSTONE - Can't wait to see this exciting place !! We're staying at Old Faithful Snow Lodge - which looks amazing. Look at the webcam - maybe you'll see us there.

6/28 (225 miles): BUTTE, MT - This is just a stop over to get us closer to Seattle - but getting there we want to see Devil's Tower.

6/29, 6/30, 7/1 (594 miles): SEATTLE, Washington - Can't wait to see the Space Needle, Mount Rainier - just can't wait to see the home of Seattle Grace and McDreamy : )

7/2 (450 miles): MEDFORD, OR - Creter Lake will be unique and then going down to SF - we're going to go by the coast - the girls should be in awe. We're going to the Sequoia National Park.

7/3, 7/4, 7/5, 7/6 (353 miles): SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Our honeymoon spot. Roger & I can't wait to show the girls all that's here - Alcatraz (where they may stay if they make it this far...), Lombard Street, Pier 39, Muir Woods - all of it.

7/7, 7/8, 7/9 (576 miles): LAS VEGAS, NV - Never been there but getting there we want to go through Yosemite / Death Valley - and definitely have planned to see Hoover Dam. We're going to meet Roger's cousin Susan here too - which should be fun.

7/10, 7/11 (277 miles): GRAND CANYON - this is also a can't wait to see. We're going to meet Patrick & Linda, Trent and Connor first in Sedona - which I had to twist Roger's arm to go to but I think he'll be stunned at the beauty of it all - and then we're going to take the girls down the Bright Angel path. Let's hope they make it back up.
