Went to Alcatraz, where the girls may have stayed, but they were good so we let them out. The city became gorgeous and we walked through North Beach, China town, and down to the wharf. Roger's feet were hurting.
Then the next day we went to the Golden Gate - love that bridge - but you can see that some of our group didn't appreciate it as much due to the height, which I can agree with too. We drove to Muir Woods, and the drive is just crazy. If you ever saw "Basic Instinct", you'll know the road that Sharon Stone drove on without regard. It's insane - but getting there is worth it, my church. And THANK goodness for the handicap pass because we wouldn't have gotten a parking space without it. There were some cars that had to park a mile away because of all the people.
We went on a 2+ mile walk there, which we loved. We went from there to NAPA - our little girl's home - the fine wine that she has. We went through a tour, I got to sample wine so I'm happy....
Tomorrow we're off to Vegas. Going from the 60's to the 100's - which is going to be a little challenging - but looking forward to the warmth.
Hope all is well with everyone. THANK YOU for joining us. Time is going by too quickly, but we're enjoying it all....

dear maddie/michelle,
ReplyDeletetwo years ago, we got a parking ticket in Muir woods because we parked in bus parking. Everything here is good. Enjoy Las Vegas!
